Amy & Nino's Elopement at Dawn on the Chesapeake
Amy & Nino are two of the sweetest people I've had the joy of working with, so for me, it made this wedding so much more rewarding to document! When we had our first phone consultation they were so joyful and excited about planning their wedding day, and they had a vision in mind that was beautifully brought to life. When I tell you it was a perfect day, please believe it.
Amy wanted peace for her wedding morning, and the suite at the Swanendale Inn was exactly what she needed. She had the morning all to herself (with the exception of the hair & MUA and me) so when I arrived she was glowing with happiness and ready to start her wedding day. After she was dressed and all ready to get married, I headed over to Dawn on the Chesapeake to find Nino being an amazing day-of-coordinator for his own wedding day. He had been directing vendors all morning and set the decor up to match Amy's vision perfectly before he himself got ready with his closest friends and son.
Their ceremony was right on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay in Southern Maryland. Their altar had a gorgeous, colorful floral arch that surrounded them on the ground, and they stood on a rug that they had custom-ordered for the event. Nino's best friend officiated the ceremony, and Nino's daughter and son stood beside each of them as they became one family. Many tears were shed and it was very clear how much love the two of them shared together. The kids helped with their hand-fasting ceremony and literally tied the knot, officially becoming husband and wife.
After the ceremony, guests ventured over to the mansion for cocktail hour, while the couple took a few photos together. After which, the couple made their grand entrance down the mansion's steps, followed by a tear-jerking welcome speech and dinner. The farm-style table was beautifully adorned with a neverending arrangement of flowers and colorful candles, which looked even better as the sun went down! And the place settings really set off the perfectly styled table setting for their guests.
Amy, Nino, and their guests enjoyed the laid-back vibes of the evening, dancing the night away both on the dance floor and by the water at sunset! We snuck away for photos a couple more times that night to take advantage of the colorful skies, but no matter what we were doing, the two of them were always having an amazing time. At the end of the night, the guests created a tunnel with their arms and shook little bells to send off the newlyweds for the evening.
I'm so grateful to have been part of the team that documented this wedding day, and even more grateful to have worked with such a wonderful group of people <3 Thank you again, Amy & Nino!
